Biography
I am a Washington native. I grew up on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands and attended high school on Bainbridge Island. Since then I have made my home in Seattle.

The small rural community I grew up in exposed me to natural medicine at a young age. “Alternative and complimentary” medicine was the predominant modality. A close family friend and long time acupuncturist was my inspiration in pursuing acupuncture as my profession. The human body and health care has always been my main interest and I new I wanted to become involved in a holistic approach to healthcare. This has made acupuncture a perfect career for me.

I began my college education at University of Washington thinking that I would pursue a career as a Physical therapist or something along those lines. After a year and a half I realized I wasn’t learning what I wanted to be and most importantly, I wasn’t learning how I could help others. Looking at the body from the Western perspective felt empty, it wasn’t a complete picture for me. So, I learned of the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at Bastyr and decided that my start in the health sciences would become my prerequisite work for the Acupuncture program.

Along the way I had my first daughter who learned all the meridians and points in utero, and after I graduated had my second daughter. I have always been drawn to women’s health issues but my own experience with pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum sparked me to look further into this particular area of Chinese Medicine. Although this is my main area of interest, I see a wide range of different cases in my practice. I have a strong commitment to my patients and it is my goal to provide the highest quality of care possible.

Please feel free to contact Bajda with any questions you may have about your health, how acupuncture can treat a particular condition or Traditional Chinese Medicine in general.
